A Short Encounter

16 December, 2007 (01:43) | Creativity

I got into a minor car accident today. It wasn’t even my car. In fact, I don’t even have my own car anymore. is out of town, and she left her car with me. I feel really bad about the whole thing.

But that’s not the amazing part. With all this ice and snow, accidents are happening all over the place. So when I rear-ended this car, I felt bad, but I figured, it was just a small bump–no visible damage–no big deal.

But you know how people get all stressed and angry when in the car? Well, the dude flings open his door and storms right at me with this really pissed look on his face. And I swear to god, it was an honest to goodness dwarf. So already I’m having trouble taking the whole situation seriously.

Well, he storms up to my door and knocks on the window. I sit there, kind of dumbfounded and he knocks again. I roll down the window and the dwarf grabs the edge and pulls himself up and says, “I am not happy.”

“Then which one are you?” I asked.

That’s when the fight started. I didn’t think a dwarf could actually reach into the car and pull me out, but he did.

There was a cop at the intersection. He pulled the dwarf off me. I told the cop just to let the guy go if we called it even. All in all, it was really strange. There was no visible damage to either car, so I don’t know why the guy flipped out like that. Admittedly, it was stupid (or brilliant in an evil way) thing to say, but man, the whole thing was just surreal.

  • Another Metaquotes transportee – old joke or not, that’s freaking hilarious. You’ve made me giggle loud enough to disturb my hamsters. ^.^

  • Glad to have brightened your day and frightened your hamsters in the process. A good laugh is worthwhile, no matter the origin.

  • If it had actually happened and I had actually quipped quickly enough, it would have, but in all honesty, it’s adapted from an old joke.

  • Aww. I am sorry. I was awake at 4:30AM, and I hadn’t heard that joke before. I thought it was funny. I can (and may still) delete it from , but it is 50/50 people who find it funny v people who are bitching.
