Beautiful Girls
After spending yesterday jamming with Tim, I borrowed some of his DVDs: The classic The Count of Monte Cristo, the black comedy featuring Ice Cube, Barbershop, and the 20-something comedy Beautiful Girls. The first two were good, but Beautiful Girls surprised and amazed me.
My only issue with it is that it’s so obviously written by a guy. Each and every male character seemed to fit an age or maturity level the guys, in general, pass through at some point or another. Meanwhile, the women were generally stereotypical, except for Uma Thurman and Natalie Portman’s characters, who both seemed like a certain type of ideal. Still, the movie was fantastic overall and deserves to be watched.
