This is me being way too fucking philosophical…

23 October, 2003 (23:26) | Philosophy

Today, I walked. The sun shone and heat scalded as I walked; from here to halfway there; from halfway there back to here; from here to there at which I stayed till time had passed. Along the way, I saw a pair of squirrels. They weren’t fighting or fleeing as I walked past. The merely paused, and as I turned, I saw that they were attempting to align themselves with the cosmos… or at least the acorns they had had for dinner. I pulled out my camera and I snapped two pictures. One came out blurry because of my naturally unsteady hand. The other was merely too far away. The beauty of the moment lost within the idiosyncrasies of technology. So I walked. I walked until I arrived, and once I had arrived, I remained until it was time to leave.

There are times in which work is a secondary piece of life. And most of those times, I wish it wasn’t since it needs to be done and I won’t have the time unless I miss out on life to finish it.

You really should check out the radio station I work at. We netcast at http://www.radio1190.org. We’re doing out “pledge drive” right now, but it’s still mostly music. I’ll actually be helping out on a show 11 pm EST to 1 am EST, though I’m not gonna bother doing the math to London time.

Anyway, I found Rainer Maria, Boards of Canada, Apples in Stereo, Tom Waits, Rufus Wainright, Elliot Smith, and all sorts of other stuff since I’ve been working there.
